About Tim

Timothy W. Sparks discovered his creative spark at an early age, leading him to pursue art through drawing and painting in high school.

His journey took an unexpected turn when the Vietnam War called him to serve in the US Air Force as a Security Police Sentry Dog Handler. This experience, particularly his tours in Thailand and Vietnam, profoundly influenced his life and writing.

After returning to the fine arts, dissatisfaction led him to a career as a drafter/designer, eventually retiring to embrace watercolor painting. His travels with his late wife through exotic destinations like Tonga, Madagascar, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Borneo, Brazil, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, the Falklands, and South Georgia sparked further creativity.

However, when arthritis impeded his painting, Sparks turned to writing, discovering his true passion. As a prolific author of crime mysteries books, Timothy W. Sparks’ writing weaves his experiences and boundless imagination together.
